FUTSAL® (five-a-side soccer), is a registered trademark of the United States Futsal Federation (USFF) and protected by Federal Law. The United States Futsal Federation (USFF), under the banner of United States Soccer, is the national governing body for FUTSAL® in the United States. FUTSAL® is the only international form of small sided indoor / outdoor soccer approved by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The trademark FUTSAL® can only be used in the United States with permission of the United States Futsal Federation (USFF) or it's designated regional and state associations, including the Maryland Futsal Association in Maryland and the Virginia Futsal Association in both Virginia and the District of Columbia. In accordance with trademark law, only organizations and individuals who are registered members of the United States Futsal Federation, through their respective state FUTSAL® association, can organize, advertise and promote FUTSAL® matches, tournaments and/or clinics without first obtaining written permission from USFF. Any use of the term FUTSAL® by organizations or individuals who are not members of the United States Futsal Federation and the state FUTSAL® association for the state in which they are operating, is in direct violation of Federal trademark law, unless permission to use the term FUTSAL® has been obtained in writing in advance from USFF or the appropriate state association prior to it's use.
