The Virginia Futsal Association is sponsoring a referee certification course on Saturday, November 29, 2003 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This course is in Fairfax County, Virginia and is for returning USFF Certified Referees and currently certified USSF referees who want to learn to referee Futsal. Currently certified USSF referees with some experience as a match official for a fast paced court sport like basketball have been extremely successful with USFF. The course will held at: Total Sports (703) 368-6019
The cost of the USFF Certification Course is $25.00 for those individuals that attend the course, pass the written exam and the on court practical evaluation. After passing the course there is a $27.00 fee to register with USFF, the Virginia Futsal Association and for a criminal background check to screen out any individuals who should not be working with youth players. The standard referee shirt for Futsal is a teal shirt with black pin stripes that is available for under $30.00.
